Acceptable use

Allowed

• Servicing your own devices.
• Repairing customers' devices with their permission, as part of a legitimate repair business.
• Restoring access for the rightful owner who has lost their Google account, PIN or password.

Not allowed

• Using UnlockTool on lost, stolen or otherwise unlawfully obtained devices.
• Removing locks or accounts without the owner's consent.
• Changing IMEI or device identifiers where local law forbids it.
• Sharing, reselling or renting your account access outside the official reseller program.
• Distributing cracked or modified UnlockTool builds.

Our expectations of technicians

Ask for proof of ownership when a customer cannot show it, such as a purchase receipt, the original box or ID that matches the account. Keep a simple record of the jobs you do.

Enforcement

Accounts used in breach of this policy may be suspended without refund, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
