Installation
Install it right the first time
- 01
Add an antivirus exclusion first
Exclude the install folder before extracting, or loader files get quarantined and the tool fails later with vague errors.

Extract to a short path
Something like C:\UnlockTool. Deep folders, spaces or non-English characters cause avoidable trouble.

Run as administrator
Every time, not only the first launch. Allow it through Windows Firewall when asked.

Install the drivers
Install USB, VCOM and Qualcomm 9008 drivers before you plug anything in. That alone fixes most “device not detected” reports.

Log in with your account
Use the UnlockTool username your license is on. If login fails, check the license is active before reinstalling.

Update before each session
New loaders ship constantly. An outdated build on new firmware is the top cause of failed operations.
Never use cracked or repacked builds. They can't authenticate, often carry password-stealing malware, and can brick a phone if they fail mid-flash.
Troubleshooting
First-launch problems, solved
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Files vanish after extracting | Antivirus quarantined them. Add the exclusion, then extract again. |
| “Server connection failed” | Firewall or proxy is blocking the tool. Allow it explicitly and retry. |
| Login rejected | No active license, wrong account, or an unofficial build. Check all three. |
| Device not detected | Check drivers first, then the cable, then the port. Keep Device Manager open while you plug in. |
| Driver name error | A conflicting file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers. Move it off the system. |
| USB filter conflict | Uninstall FlexiHub (EUsbHubFilter). Its USB filter driver gets in the way. |
| Fails part-way | Update to the newest build first, because the loader may have changed. |
